Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle meet in their FA Cup third round replay on Tuesday night and it is the Championship side who look to be the value bet at Ewood Park.
A late penalty from Matt Ritchie saved the blushes of Newcastle in the original match at St James’ Park but Rafa Benitez’s side look short of ideas and options at the moment, which is why we are backing Blackburn to set up a fourth round home match against Watford…

|Tuesday – 7.45pm||Odds||Bets|
|Blackburn v Newcastle|
| Blackburn to qualify
|Blackburn win and BTTS||9/2||
|Charlie Mulgrew anytime scorer||9/2||
Blackburn will be relishing the opportunity to take on top-flight opposition on home soil as they have lost just two of their fourteen matches at Ewood Park this season. They are 29/20 for the win this week, while William Hill go 10/11 for Rovers to qualify.
They take on a Newcastle side that is languishing down in eighteenth place in the Premier League table and the Magpies have won just one of their past ten outings in all competitions.
Benitez’s men tend to struggle horribly on the road as they have won only three of their last 21 away games in all competitions, so that Rovers win is looking better and better.
Blackburn are strong at home, although they have only kept three clean sheets in their 14 matches in front of their own fans. With that in mind, the Blackburn win and both teams to score is a stand-out bet at 9/2 with William Hill.
‘Both teams to score’ landed in nine of their fourteen home fixtures, with Danny Graham currently 11/2 to be first goalscorer after getting on the scoresheet in four of Blackburn’s last six FA Cup games.
However, we prefer a punt on Charlie Mulgrew in the anytime goalscorer bracket (9/2 with Betfair) as he has scored in two of his three career appearances against Newcastle and he has notched eight goals so far this season.
